Our 30,000 square foot Area Rug Gallery is conveniently located in Towson, Maryland near the York Road exit of I-695. We invite you to visit our beautifully appointed, state-of-the-art Auction and Oriental Rug Gallery, one of the largest showrooms of its kind on the East Coast, where successful sales and service are cherished traditions. If you are not able to visit, our website now makes widely available our tremendous inventory and our knowledge of new and antique rugs. Alex Cooper offers rugs from around the world made in Persia, Iran, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, the Caucasus and Nepal.

We are proud to offer rug collections online and in our rug gallery from Nourison, Tamarian, Samad, Lotfy, AminCo, Momeni, 828 International, Kalaty, Trans-Ocean, Kas and our own imports; which consist of hand knotted, hand woven, machine-made, hand tufted and hooked rugs. Due to our premium service and large inventory, Alex Cooper is a Preferred Nourison Dealer.
Alex Cooper started out in business in 1924, located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Today, Alex Cooper Auctioneers, Inc. and Alex Cooper Oriental Rugs includes Alex's son Joseph Cooper, four grandson's Jon Levinson, Larry Cooper, Paul Cooper & Brian Cooper; two great grandson's Jamey Levinson & Matthew Cooper; two great grandaughter's Rachel Starmer & Julie Levinson and all the Alex Cooper staff.
